Silvia Cacciamatta

Staff – Research Fellow

Silvia is a Service Designer, researcher, and lecturer. She holds a Master’s degree in Product Service System Design achieved at Politecnico di Milano and a Master’s degree in Service Design at POLI.design.

Since 2013, she’s been participating in different design projects both in the private and public sectors related to co-design, social innovation, and sharing economy.

She coordinated the H2020 project “Bitride Bike Sharing” in collaboration with the Design Department of Politecnico di Milano, AMAT (Agenzia Mobilità Ambiente e Territorio) and Comune di Milano.

She has been involved in the co-design project “Recovery.Net”, founded by Fondazione Cariplo, in collaboration with UOP 23 (Unità Operativa di Psichiatria – Psychiatry Unit) of Brescia Civil Hospitals (Spedali Civili) and Politecnico di Milano, with the aim of experimenting a model oriented toward co-production and based on innovative community psychiatry services.

She also coordinated a co-design project in collaboration with the social cooperative Fraternità Giovani, with the aim of designing a new multifunctional therapeutic-rehabilitation center, a new point of reference on the treatment and management of psychiatric disorders in adolescence for Regione Lombardia.

She is a freelance, lecturer, and consultant for the Chamber of Commerce of Bergamo.

She is currently a research fellow at the Urban Simulation Lab Fausto Curti, Department of Architecture and Urban Studies (DAStU), at Politecnico di Milano, involved in H2020 EIT project “AR4CUP 2020: Augmented Reality for Collaborative Urban Planning”.
